LK Hunsaker specializes in mainstream relationship fiction with strong characterization and an emphasis on the arts and societal issues.
Her passion for books, music, and art was fueled by an artistic family. After dabbling with creative writing since childhood, she earned a degree in psychology which further strengthened her interest in and understanding of human nature, along with studies in English and art. The effects of family issues mixed with friendship, romance, and culture have strong reflections in the author's work.
Pen name Ella M. Kaye was created in order to differentiate between LK's original mainstream artsy fiction with strong romantic elements and a newer line of contemporary literary romance featuring mental health issues.
Originally from central Illinois, Hunsaker moved several times over 17 years as a military spouse, traveling widely in between. Now settled in Western Pennsylvania, she dabbles in fine art, music, and gardening, does admin/promotion work for her husband's wood craft business, and is the founder of the West PA Book Festival, created to help support local authors.
