I'm the author of the Edgar nominated novel Where All Light Tends To Go (Putnam, 2015), as well as the novels The Weight Of This World (Putnam, 2017), The Line That Held Us (Putnam, 2018), and When These Mountains Burn (Putnam, 2020). As far as why and how I'm using this platform, this "Bookshop" is a place to promote the books I love and a way to funnel traffic into a singular location that supports independent booksellers. I sincerely hope you have an independently owned bookstore near you that you love (my hometown indie is City Lights in Sylva, NC) and that you continue to use that store to order and buy all of your books. But if you don't, you can always order through this site and that way part of the money will filter back into local communities and the indies we all love.
