Hello, welcome to my page!
A little about me, I started cooking and baking with my grandma at a very young age, maybe 7 or so. By the time I was 12 years old I was making all kinds of dishes that even adults find challenging. During my teens, I especially loved to bake. (This was before boys came into the picture...haha!).
In my career, I've worked for 3 different restaurants: a donut shop, and Italian restaurant and a well-known, high quality burger place. These experiences really trained me to cook and bake with precision, focusing on turning out the same perfect dish each time.
After this, I started catering my own parties and, informally, parties friends would throw.
Since it first aired in 2000, I have loved the TV show Gilmore Girls. In 2015 I decided to write a cookbook, a full-color "how to" chronicalling all of the foods from the show. I had no expectations for the book. I just wanted it for my own use.
A few magical twists & turns later, the cookbook, "Eat Like A Gilmore" became a bestseller. Two years later its sequel, "Daily Cravings", was released.
As a lifelong reader, I've always loved to be in a bookstore. To me, indie bookstores all have that certain something that makes me feel inspired just standing inside, smelling the bookstore air. Like The Shop Around the Corner in "You've Got Mail".
I'm thrilled to see BookShop working on behalf of indies.
