About the Author

Elizabeth Geitz is an Episcopal priest and the author of five books on spirituality, evangelism, hospitality and women's perspectives on faith. An award-winning writer, she is a spirituality faculty member for the CREDO Institute, Inc. and works closely with the Good Shepherd Home Board in Cameroon. Geitz is a popular keynote speaker and has been a radio talk show guest. She lives in Florida.

Marjorie A. Burke has been active in the Episcopal Church at all levels--parish, diocese, and national. She served as national president of the Episcopal Church Women and co-edited Women's Uncommon Prayers: Our Lives Revealed, Nurtured, Celebrated. Her poetry and prose have been published in literary magazines and local newspapers. She lives in Weare, New Hampshire.

Ann Smith has been the managing editor of Girlhood Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal since its inception. Formerly a lecturer in the Department of English, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, where she specialized in literary theory with a particular focus on feminism and queer theory, she is now an adjunct professor in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education at McGill University, Montreal.
