About the Author
Von Allan has been living and breathing comics in the Great White North for a number of years and has built an active and well-respected presence in the larger comics community. He has written, penciled, and inked a number of short stories, comic books, and original graphic novels. All have been well-received by fans, retailers, and critics and continue to sell today: "the road to god knows...," the heartwarming story of a teenager growing up with a schizophrenic mother; and "Stargazer," an all-ages sci-fi/fantasy adventure. Allan is the recipient of the 2014 Corel Endowment for the Arts Award (https: //ottawaartscouncil.ca/en/council-news/two-artists-receive-corel-endowment-arts-awards) and the 2019 CBC Trailblazer Award (https: //newsinteractives.cbc.ca/longform/eric-julien).
Sam Boswell has been finding dangling modifiers, correcting spelling, and fixing misused apostrophes in fiction, non-fiction, university theses, graphic novels, technical manuals, and government bureaucratese for almost 20 years. She lives in Ontario, Canada, and, when she's not solving language problems for other people, she can be found deep in a book, untangling yarn, or digging in the garden.
Reviews

"Lauren is well characterised from the start, but the people she's surrounded by, good, bad and indifferent, are also easily understood, their motivations clear, which enables the plot to roll out smoothly. By the end the We All Want to Change the World title has taken on a different meaning, and over an enjoyable 160 or so pages Allan has supplied a drama to lose yourself in, and set up a lot of potential going forward. In an age of effects wizardry being cheap, TV production companies could do far worse than look in his direction." Frank Plowright, The Slings & Arrows Graphic Novel Guide (https: //theslingsandarrows.com/wolfs-head-book-1-we-all-want-to-change-the-world/)

"This new and original, full color, deftly scripted, impressively illustrated comic book series is a fully engaging, page-turner of a read and would prove to be an immediate and enduringly popular addition to personal reading lists and community library collections." - Midwest Book Review (http: //www.midwestbookreview.com/wbw/feb_19.htm#GraphicNovel)

"Allan is able to imbue Wolf's Head with some of the heartfelt energy that was present in his previous graphic novel. It's particularly noticeable in the relationship between Lauren Greene and her mother. Their introduction is front-loaded with expository dialog, but it quickly slows down and we are witness to the tense and difficult relationship between a mother and a daughter who don't always get along but love each other in spite of it all." - Philippe Leblanc, The Beat (https: //www.comicsbeat.com/review-von-allan-wolfs-head/)
