Reviews
Captivating...[Kelby's] descriptions of food are exquisitely detailed. She makes delicious drama out of acts as simple as Escoffier teaching his protégé how to make fried eggs.--Steve Almond
Kelby's descriptions of food are sublime, and her evocations of Paris, from artists' spare studios to restaurants' lavish dining rooms, delightful.--Colette Bancroft
Foodies will no doubt enjoy the lush epicurean treatment as well as the historical elements of the novel...Ultimately this is a classic romance.--W. S. Lyon
As delicious and decadent as the recipes and menus sprinkled within...Vibrant and witty.--Rochelle O'Gorman
Witty, delightful, and so detailed you can taste it...Kelby has a foodie's flair for infusing her narrative with so many flavorful details, readers will feel like they're enjoying lavish meals right along with the novel's characters. Mercifully, without all those pesky calories. Kelby also succeeds in building a story heaped with ample portions of plot development and scene-setting.--Andrea Hoag
