Reviews
"Propelled by her immense heart, Dr. Taylor creates vignettes as readable and as accessible as anything author Somerset Maugham wrote but with an added sensitivity towards patients and families that may never have been before seen in literature."—Peter C. Johnson, MD, author of Lark Farm-In Flanders Fields
"Whispers of the Mind is a remarkable memoir—tender, smart, and beautifully written. Seasoned neurologist and author Carolyn Taylor brims with compassion for life’s fragility—and for the resilient patients she helped navigate life and death over the course of her career. Vulnerability and candor mark this fascinating collection of memories, and Dr Taylor's intuition and skill as a diagnostician kept me spellbound to the very last page."—Cheryl Grey Bostrom, author of Sugar Birds and Leaning on Air
