About the Author

Meta Wagner writes about pop culture, and she has most notably been a contributor to the Boston Globe opinion pages and a columnist for PopMatters. Her commentary and feature articles have also appeared in Huffington Post, Chicago Tribune, Salon, Boston Globe Magazine, and Wall Street Journal custom content. When she's not writing, Meta is molding young minds as an adjunct professor at Emerson College and Boston University. She developed and teaches a "cult favorite" seminar called Creativity in Context (the basis for this book) along with classes in creative nonfiction and communications writing. She has also taught at Wheelock College and at Grub Street, Boston's largest independent writing center. Meta was previously in executive positions in the marketing and public relations fields and received multiple awards from professional organizations. She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her MFA in creative writing from Emerson College, where she was chosen as the student commencement speaker.

Rachel Fulginiti earned a BA in acting from the University of New Hampshire. Trained in the Meisner technique, she fine-tuned her craft on Manhattan's stages for ten years, doing theatre, sketch comedy, and performance art, before moving to Los Angeles and transitioning to voiceover. She can be heard regularly on television and radio, voicing for brands such as Kia, McDonald's, and Target, as well as on numerous audiobooks.
