About the Author

Lyn Liao Butler was born in Taiwan and moved to the States when she was seven. Before becoming an author, she was a professional ballet and modern dancer, and is still a personal trainer and fitness and yoga instructor. She is an avid animal lover who fosters dogs and volunteers with rescues. When she is not torturing clients or talking to imaginary characters, Lyn enjoys spending time with her FDNY husband, their son (the happiest little boy in the world), and their three stubborn dachshunds; sewing for her Etsy shop; and trying complicated yoga poses on a stand-up paddleboard. So far, she has not fallen into the water. For more information visit www.lynliaobutler.com.

What Is Mine

"Unsettling from the very first page, What Is Mine is an emotional thrill ride about two women's desperate attempts to keep their families whole. Lyn Liao Butler has packed this story with page-turning suspense, culminating in a grand finale of explosive surprises." --Megan Collins, author of The Family Plot and Thicker Than Water

"What Is Mine features Lyn Liao Butler at her very best. This twisty page-turner plays on every parent's darkest fears by evoking a scenario in which nothing is as it seems, and no one can be trusted. In the crowded field of domestic thrillers, Butler delivers!" --Don Bentley, New York Times bestselling author of Forgotten War

"Captivating from the very first line, Butler masterfully builds a world full of suspense. With careful twists and shocking reveals, What Is Mine is a must-read novel." --Nekesa Afia, author of the Harlem Renaissance Mystery series

"Relentlessly suspenseful and heartbreakingly chilling! Butler's stealthy, diabolical storytelling and her brilliant sleight of hand kept me guessing from page one--then rocket ahead to places readers will never predict. A gripping page-turner about family and obsession and, most terrifying, a tale of how far people will push to get what they want. Clear your calendar--you will not want to put this down!" --Hank Phillippi Ryan, USA Today bestselling author

"This rollercoaster of a novel follows two women seeking redemption and their fight over the boy they think will provide it for them. Hope's fear is absolutely palpable, and the tension powering the book made it impossible to put down. A gripping, at times heartbreaking, look at family, betrayal, and how far one will go to claim what they believe is theirs." --Mia P. Manansala, author of the Agatha, Anthony, and Macavity Award-winning Arsenic and Adobo
