Her books inspire young minds to dream big and allows readers to see the world through the eyes of Little Ari and her talking dog, Pepper. Her stories teach lessons about acceptance, diversity, friendship, special needs, and bullying. Shanita self-published her first book Sleep, Tiny Dreamer in September 2019. It is a short bedtime story that encourages young minds to dream big, and to think of all of the endless possibilities of what they can be when they dare to dream...literally! Shanita has been featured in news publications such as the Lakeland Ledger and the Daily Ridge and Sleep, Tiny Dreamer has been featured on PBS with Miss Penny from Kid-Vison Pre-K, among other shows that have read the book to a live audience.
