Reviews

"A welcome recognition of Black men and the joyous ways they show up for their families, their communities, and each other." -- Kirkus, Starred Review

"[A]n excellent mirror is provided for those students who might not see themselves in the everyday classroom read-aloud. Mance has created a resonant reflection of everyday life for those learners who are discovering the possibilities of the world around them." -- School Library Journal
