About the Author
Kim Peacock was thrust into a world she never imagined she could survive when her daughter, Nicole, died in a tragic accident. Grappling through her grief has produced in her a passion to help others navigate through the complexity of grief with hope, and she is now a wife, mom, writer, speaker, and grief mentor. Her blog, Wild Victorious Heart, has been an encouragement to others during the life-altering loss of a loved one. Kim currently resides in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.
Tom Mercer was born and raised in Hampshire, and has been passionate about Aviation since a very young age. Tom currently works in the IT sector and focuses on his photography in his spare time. Having founded and written numerous articles for Aviation Highlights, as well as other outlets over the past five years, the opportunity arose for Tom to work once more with RAF Odiham. Tom shadowed the Chinook Display Team throughout 2018 and became a fly-on-the-wall to bring you the story of their epic display season during the RAF's centenary year. Blade Slap collates a year's worth of work and takes you on a never-seen-before journey.
Reviews
"Everyone experiences grief at some point in life, even if it's from a distance. It can be difficult to know how to practically walk alongside someone who has lost a child or loved one. In Victorious Heart, Kim Peacock relays her personal journey of her daughter's death, and her raw honesty and brave testimony give us a road map for thriving despite pain or tragic circumstance. Her "Grief Notes"interspersed through the book provide practical tips for moving through the grief process while her "Love Them Well" notations teach others how to love and minister to those experiencing deep loss. Both are equally helpful and insightful. Victorious Heart isn't a memoir of sorrow, but rather a story of strength, love and hope."
