Seventeen-year-old Jared leads a normal but boring life. Then, one night, an oval-shaped stone with strange markings lands in his backyard during a strange thunderstorm with green lightning. As Jared explores the power of the stone, known as an Incognal, it begins transporting him to and from a strange alternate world called the Kingdom of Onteria.

Jared attempts to keep the Incognal and Onteria hidden from his family. But when Jared's mother discovers the Incognal's presence, the secret life she's been living (for over ONE HUNDRED years!) becomes exposed. It turns out that the Incognal did not appear randomly but rather chose Jared for a destiny previously unknown to him. Will Jared overcome a difficult odyssey to fulfill that destiny, or will dark forces in Onteria prevent him from doing so? Read and find out.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

JOHNNIE WEST grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he joined the Army, later retiring in 2015. During his time in the Army, Johnnie was awarded the Bronze Star and numerous other awards for his role during tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and as an Intelligence Analyst for Sapper Company, a unit of combat-focused engineers. He currently lives in Utah with his wife, whom he married in 1991, and he has four children and seven grandchildren. Johnnie enjoys traveling with his wife, visiting Las Vegas, and going on cruises. He also enjoys writing and published his award-winning sci-fi novel, Alien Orders, in 2022.
