About the Author
Deborah Blumenthal is an award-winning journalist and nutritionist, and the author of twenty-three books for adults and children. She has been a regular contributor to The New York Times. Her feature stories have appeared in a wide variety of national newspapers and magazines, including The New York Daily News, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Family Circle, and Woman's Day. Deborah lives in New York City.
Ralph Blumenthal was a correspondent of The New York Times from 1964 to 2009, including an assignment in West Germany in 1968-9. He is the author of four non-fiction books: Last Days of the Sicilians; Once Through the Heart, Stork Club; and Miracle at Sing Sing. He is now a Distinguished Lecturer at Baruch College of the City University of New York.
Adam Gustavson majored in illustration at Rowan University and received his Master's at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has taught art classes at Passaic County Community College and Seton Hall University. He lives in West Orange, New Jersey, with his wife and two sons.
