About the Author

Laurie Ann Thompson loves capybaras, hates caves, and is ambivalent about mushy bananas. She is the coauthor of the Two Truths and a Lie series and author of several award-winning nonfiction books, including Emmanuel's Dream, a picture book biography of Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah, which was the recipient of the Schneider Family Book Award and was named an ALA Notable Book and a CCBC Choice, among other accolades. She lives outside Seattle with her family, and you can visit her online at www.lauriethompson.com.

Ammi-Joan Paquette is the author of many books for young readers. After living in many countries all over the world, she has now settled in the Boston area with her family and many towering piles of books. When she looks out of her back windows, all she can see are trees. Her books include The Train of Lost Things and the Two Truths and a Lie series.
Lisa K. Weber makes art for comics, kid's books, and cartoons. Her work has included graphic-novel adaptations of classic literature, illustrated books for young and middle-grade readers, and character and storyboard design for animations. She cofounded the comic book label HexComix in 2014, cocreating and illustrating its flagship title, Hex11, which earned a nomination for the Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity in Comics. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, raised in Wilmette, Illinois, and schooled in New York City, Lisa currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California, where she enjoys healthy doses of satire, science fiction, and classic-rock radio.
