About the Author

Edward Dorn (1929-99) was professor of creative writing at the University of Colorado, where he taught for more than twenty years. He is author of over forty books of poety, fiction, nonfiction, and translation, including the epic Gunslinger; his long-awaited Collected Poems, edited by Jennifer Dunbar Dorn, was published in December 2012.

Gavin Selerie was born in London, where he still lives. His books include Azimuth (1984), Roxy (1996), Le Fanu's Ghost (2006) and Hariot Double (2016)-all long sequences with linked units. These texts often have a visual dimension and Selerie has collaborated extensively with artist-poet Alan Halsey; he has also worked with musicians in performance. Music's Duel: New and Selected Poems 1972-2008 was published by Shearsman in 2009. Critical work includes studies of Charles Olson and Edward Dorn. Selerie's memoir of the London poetry scene 1970-1989 appeared in Clasp, ed. Robert Hampson & Ken Edwards (2016).
Justin Katko was born in Hazard, Kentucky, in 1984. His previous books include: Holiday in Tikrit (2005, with Keith Tuma), Praxis Etudes (2009), Finite Love (2010, with Jow Lindsay), Rhyme Against the Internet (2011), We Are Real: A History (2012, with Joseph Walton), Superior City Song (2012, with Jo Crot), and Songs for One Occasion (forthcoming from the University of New Orleans Press). He is a co-editor of Edward Dorn's Collected Poems (Carcanet Press) and the editor of the small press Critical Documents. He has a BPh/MA from Miami University (Ohio), an MFA from Brown University, and is in the midst of completing a PhD at the University of Cambridge.
