About the Author
JOAN CHITTISTER is an internationally known author and lecturer, and the executive director of Benetvision, a resource and research center for contemporary spirituality. She has received numerous awards for her work, and she currently serves as co-chair of the Global Peace Initiative of Women. Her books include The Friendship of Women, The Monastery of the Heart, and the bestseller The Gift of Years.
