About the Author
Cat first started writing when someone thrust a pencil into her hand. Unfortunately, as she could neither read nor write properly at the time, none of her stories actually made much sense. However as she grew up, they gradually began to take form and, at the tender age of nine or ten, she sold her dolls' house, and various other toys to buy her first typewriter - an Empire Smith Corona. She hasn't stopped bashing away at the keys ever since, although her keyboard of choice now belongs to her laptop.

The need to earn a living led to a varied career in sales, advertising and career guidance but Cat is now the full-time author of a number of supernatural, ghostly, haunted house and Gothic horror novels, novellas and short story collections, including: The After-Death of Caroline Rand; Dark Observation; In Darkness, Shadows Breathe; The Garden of Bewitchment; The Haunting of Henderson Close; The Darkest Veil; and The Crow Witch and Other Conjurings.
Reviews
'Cavendish breathes new life into familiar horror tropes in this spine-tingling tale of past and present colliding.'--Publishers Weekly on In Darkness, Shadows Breathe
'A compelling, immersive, and intense time-slip horror novel with sympathetic characters that readers actively root for. The tale reads like The Devil in Silver by Victor LaValle if it were written by Sarah Pinborough.'--Library Journal on In Darkness, Shadows Breathe
"Those Who Dwell in Mordenhyrst Hall is a very strong work of Gothic horror and may be Cavendish's best book so far."--A Reviewer Darkly
"Those Who Dwell at Mordenhyest Hall is a very good historical horror capturing the period, the perspective on the classes and mixed in some very satisfying scenes of horror. Highly enjoyable and well worth your time!"--Runalong the Shelves
"Another amazingly mysterious and thrilling tale from Catherine Cavendish! I had an absolute blast reading this!

Horror fans, this gothic horror story will have you ready to leave an extra light on while reading as you may just hear footsteps when no one else is around or see ghostly figures lurking... And watch out for any birds of prey!"--Erica Robyn Reads
