About the Author
Caroline Bock holds an MFA in Fiction from The City College of New York. She is the author of the young adult novels LIE and BEFORE MY EYES, from St. Martin's Press. Her short stories and poetry have been published or are forthcoming with Akashic Books, Delmarva Review, Little Patuxtent Review, Fiction Southeast, Gargoyle, 100 Word Story, F(r)iction, Ploughshares, Vestal Review, and Zero Dark-Thirty. Her debut short story collection, CARRY HER HOME, won the 2018 WWPH Fiction Prize. Born in the Bronx and raised in New Rochelle, New York, she now lives in Maryland with her husband and teenage son and daughter.
Jona Colson graduated from Goucher College and earned his MFA from American University and a Master's in Literature/Linguistics from George Mason University. His poems have appeared in The Southern Review, Ploughshares, The Massachusetts Review, and elsewhere. In addition to writing his own poetry, he also translates the Spanish language poetry of Miguel Avero from Montevideo, Uruguay. His collection, SAID THROUGH GLASS, won the 2018 Jean Feldman Poetry Prize from WWPH. He is currently Associate Professor at Montgomery College in Maryland where he teaches English as a second language.
Kathleen Wheaton worked for 12 years as a journalist and travel writer in Spain, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. She has published fiction in many journals and three anthologies, and she is a 5-time recipient of Maryland State Arts Council grants. Her collection, ALIENS AND OTHER STORIES, won the 2013 WWPH Fiction Prize. Since 2014, she has served as president and managing editor of WWPH, a nonprofit cooperative press.
