About the Author
Walther Zimmerli was born in 1907 in Schiers (Switzerland). He held a number of academic appointments in Germany and Switzerland. From 1951 he was Professor of Old Testament in Gottingen. He served as a Visiting Professor at Yale University Divinity School, and in 1964 was appointed Rector of the University of Gottingen. His publications include Das Gesetz und die Propheten, 1963 and Israel und die Christen, 1964. Joachim Jeremias (1900-1979) was Professor of New Testament at the University of Goettingen. His other works include 'The Parables of Jesus', 'The Eucharistic Words of Jesus', 'Unknown Sayings of Jesus', 'Jesus' Promise to the Nations, ' and 'Jesus and the Message of the New Testament'.
Joachim Jeremias (1900-1979) was Professor of New Testament at the University of Goettingen. His other works include 'The Parables of Jesus', 'The Eucharistic Words of Jesus', 'Unknown Sayings of Jesus', 'Jesus' Promise to the Nations' and 'Jesus and the Message of the New Testament'.
