In 2021, he was awarded Sweden's most prestigious literary prize, the August Prize, in the children's and YA category for Nattkorpen, the original edition of The Night Raven, the first book in the Moonwind Mysteries series. The Night Raven was a Kirkus Best Book of the Year and was short-listed for the Global Literature in Libraries Initiative Translated YA Book Prize. Both The Night Raven and its sequel, The Queen of Thieves, were Junior Library Guild selections.

A. A. Prime is an award-winning translator specializing in magical stories for young people. She loves her work because it is the perfect combination of fastidious academia and dreamlike nonsense.

Reviews

"Rundberg establishes a strong sense of suspense and brings 1880s Sweden to life beautifully...A captivating game of cat and mouse." --Kirkus Reviews

"Rundberg vividly conveys the part that hope plays in feeding the soul. At the same time, this is a wonderfully eventful, far-fetched mystery, with unpredictable plots, schemes, and a successful get-out-of-jail attempt engineered by a team of juvenile explosive experts--not to mention indomitable Mika and her sidekick, unkempt and unorthodox police detective Hoff." --The Horn Book (starred review)
