About the Author

Master storyteller Peter B. Lewis has written and produced dozens of entertaining audio and video programs for children throughout his fifty-year career in sound design. Loving the power of playing with words, Peter is the author of The Longest, Darkest Night!-a heavenly tale about animals and the solstice for ages four through seven. He lives in the garden spot of Bickleton, Washington, "Bluebird Capital of the World," where the pickles are really delicious and the fun shines every day.

Casey Gerber is a full-time fantasy illustrator and graphic designer from the Pacific Northwest who loves bringing magical worlds to life. Her colorful background includes teaching art to children and lending her vision to Wizards of the Coast for Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and Transformers TCG. When not drawing, she's usually gardening, exploring classic literature, or watching movies with her husband and their four cats, Cookie, Charlotte, Velcro, and Nob.
