About the Author
The fact that this book was written the year of 9/11 was not something that I wanted to ignore in the plot. In fact, considering that the works of these scrolls come from the heart, I actually wanted to tear into the plot and let those events almost seem to crash into the middle of this book. It was not a stretch to do that because I don't think that there has ever been a country in history that represents the ideals of love more than America. Whether it is represented in the unity of its people, its open door and welcome mat to the people of every stripe, or the assistence it provides to the poor, oppressed, and afflicted throughout the world. It is for such reasons as this that I always knew I would write The American Scrolls, a chapter that now appears in this book. This chapter includes poems that capture eloquently of course, the patriotism of myself and all Americans. It includes poems like Old Glory, Freedom, The American Dream, and The New Frontier. Beyond that, this book has a great story to tell about truly capturing the American dream and preserving it when it is in danger. This book truly has a great tale to tell everyone, not just Americans, but those with patriotism and heart around the world. Because in a world that is getting smaller, we are not just citizens of America, but citizens of the world, and for those that believe, citizens of the greater Kingdom.
