About the Author

Fideli Sundqvist, a Swedish artist and designer, developed a passion for papercraft as a college student. Inspired by Chinese papercuts and the work of Rob Ryan, she began experimenting with paper cutting, eventually transitioning to three-dimensional paper sculptures. After graduating, Sundqvist joined an agency and began collaborating with photographers to elevate her paper creations through lighting and digital techniques. Her work has since expanded to include various commercial projects, from building props for campaigns to designing entire environments for advertising and editorial contexts. Sundqvist's unique approach to papercraft involves a blend of technical precision and artistic expression, resulting in captivating and imaginative pieces. In recent years Fideli has been working with her husband, Hannes Anderzen, who is a photographer and animator. She lives and works in Sweden.
