This third volume of poetry from Elizabeth Weaver-Kreider follows the Mysteries of the Rosary: Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious. At the beginning, the winsome Fool sets out on a journey, eager for adventure. The tone changes as she faces accusation and inquisition, losing the thread of her own story. In the last third of the book, she sets off again, this time determined to live on her own terms, choosing the identity of heretic rather than clipping her wings to fit into patriarchal and religious institutional boxes. These poems are full of reverence and rage, trauma and hope, resilience and fierce love.
