Reviews

"The Heart Sutra is the most essential teaching of Mahayana Buddhism. Anam Thubten Rinpoche has done an excellent job presenting detailed explanations on emptiness from the perspectives of a variety of Tibetan scholars, along with Mahayana, Dzogchen, and Zen points of view on the nature of reality, ultimate truth. This book is a profound, thought-provoking, in-depth explanation that provides new insights. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about the essential teachings of Buddha."

- Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche, author of Our Pristine Mind: A Practical Guide to Unconditional Happiness

"From my heart, I rejoice that Anam Thubten Rinpoche has authored this fresh commentary, The Fragrance of Emptiness, in the English language on the profound sutras of the Great Mother Prajnaparamita, the Perfection of Transcendent Wisdom."

Chakung Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche, spiritual director of Abhaya Fellowship

"Anam Thubten reminds us with eloquence and heart that in emptiness there is an intrinsic compassion that wants the world to be okay, for self and for all beings, and this compassion is inseparable form and emptiness. This is the fulfillment of emptiness, awakening the great heart of compassion that transcends self-centeredness and fear."
