The Dead-Tossed Waves
Carrie Ryan
(Author)Description
Years ago, Gabry's mother journeyed into the Forest of Hands and Teeth and came out the other side. She raised Gabry by the sea, where they've both lived quiet lives, protected by the barrier that surrounds their town.
But life after the Return is never safe.
And there are some threats no defenses can hold back.
Gabry's mother thought she left her secrets behind, only like the dead in their world, secrets don't stay buried. And now Gabry's world is crumbling.
All it takes is one night beyond the Barrier . . . one boy Gabry's known forever and one veiled in mystery . . . and everything changes. Now Gabry is sure of only one thing: if she is to have any hope of survival, she must face the forest of her mother's past.
