Marrieta Gal (Marija Stojisavljevic) has been an art enthusiast from an early age. She has over twenty years of professional experience in illustrating and designing children's magazines and books. As a passionate advocate for the world of art and illustration, Marrieta has illustrated numerous picture books and magazines for domestic and foreign publishers, including Leslie Guzman's Lupita plush doll and bilingual English and Spanish storybook set and Barbara Leary's novel The Climbing Tree. She earned a bachelor's degree in book design and an MA in illustration at Faculty of Applied Arts in her hometown, Belgrade, Serbia, where she currently resides.
