Description
"Among all the diverse methods for gaining insight into the hidden world, the use of fortune-telling cards is one of the most ancient and fascinating. I have written much about their history and how the Tarot came to prominence, and while that is of great interest it seems, in a way, to actually hinder progress. The old cards are indeed potent, but they are mired in the past. Their images and symbolism are petrified, permanently fused to the old ways, and as such are no longer suited to our changing universe. In order to free ourselves from the constraints of false dualities and ingrained fears the cards must be remade. The artificial strictures of human dominance must be cut away and new bonds to nature and the innate form of existence must be forged. It is to these ends that I have been working, and this is what I have learned."
Based on Arthur Spurlock's letters from the late 1920s, this book contains a reconstruction of his personal cartomancy deck.
