The Cache
A young widow loves her departed family and all the treasures they left her. She must do the unthinkable when a vicious burglary leaves her aghast at losing her heirlooms. Rushing headlong into a mission with a half-baked plan to recover her belongings, her world collides with a family of pawnshop owners who also wield guns. Falling in love is the last thing on her mind. While pursuing the truth about a love child, a rancher must juggle his business, a home remodel, his mother's recovery, and manage his budding livestock venture. Questions abound when marauders target the rancher's family, and a risky new hire turns into a gut-wrenching experience forcing him to solve another mystery but of a dangerous nature.

King's calm demeanor and laidback persona are the perfect foil to Meagan's unpredictability and strong-willed determination. The narrative is evenly paced... smooth prose makes the book a breeze to go through. All in all, an entertaining yarn for a diverse range of readers." Pikasho Deka/Reader's Favorite.
As (THE CACHE'S) bizarre cast entangles together, their lives and personal histories come into detailed focus, new romances are unexpectedly sparked, and old feuds are finally put to rest... a compelling story with a collection of relatable characters, mixing issues of contemporary life with the engrossing elements of a thriller." (Editorial Review: SPR)
"(THE CACHE) is a fascinating and lovingly penned novel that offers readers who like multi-genre works a lot to sink their teeth into. The primary plot shifts between romance and mystery as we unpick the many flashback clues and interesting dynamics to discover if our heroine will ever find peace again after losing her family...great nods to crime fiction with the gun-toting pawnshop family and their mafia-esque ways of doing things, and the family saga elements and Western action-adventure notes in the atmosphere and plot hooks...realistic ensemble cast of characters... dynamic drama which I would certainly recommend. Overall, The Cache is a highly enjoyable work of mystery, romance, and, ultimately, human spirit and ingenuity in the face of great emotional turmoil." K.C. Finn/Reader's Favorite.
