Two janitors escaped the research facility on Farley Island, carrying the mutation to the mainland.

The small, remote town of Winterstone, British Columbia is awakening to a curious sickness that leaves people confused and sleepy, very interested in kissing. It isn't until the second stage of the sickness is triggered that the true breadth of the situation comes clear. The neighbors are rabid freaks and sticking around is a death sentence.

To the citizens of Winterstone, survival means running. To the military presence racing to the scene, survival means battle, it means blocking that first invasion toehold on Earth's soil. It means survival as a species.
