About the Author
Hi, I am Mrs. J. A. Thompson, otherwise known as Mrs. T. I write books that connect reading to play! I have a passion for igniting a love for life and learning as a certified upper elementary educator and a dedicated mother of 4. In my experience and training, I have witnessed firsthand the power of play in a growing child and the wide array of differences each child brings to the reading table (get it? hehe). Many people do not realize how strongly play and reading correlate even into adulthood. People play for curiosity, entertainment, learning, stress reduction, inspiration, connection, and more. However, people read for the same reasons! Most, if not all, children struggle to stay engaged with text during their developing years and this naturally dissolves with maturation. However, all of my students love to play and challenge themselves daily. Motivated by this understanding and comprehensive knowledge of various learning theories, I am using my training and skills to create fun books that improve engagement and challenge all types of readers by including innovative concepts like book-based play, competition, relationship building, surprise, curiosity, novelty, guided release, manipulatives, and basically, just plain fun.Join me in igniting a fire for reading in children everywhere! @ www.activeboox.com
Reviews
"This is by far the most comprehensive work that has been done on the prophet Jeremiah. . . . An excellent work that is sure to become the classical major study of this prophet. A must for any serious student of the Bible."
-- Southwestern Journal of Theology

"Thompson's Jeremiah rivals John Bright's commentary as the best in English on
Jeremiah. . . . His highly competent treatment lends itself to use by scholars and teachers as well as for sermon preparation and personal study."

-- Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society

"A helpful conservative commentary on Jeremiah for years to come."
