About the Author

Jan Mahnken, author of The Backyard Bird-Lover's Guide, has written for Country Journal, Farmstead, Countryside, and New England Farm Journal. She lives in western Massachusetts and has loved birds since the age of thirteen.

JEFFREY C. DOMM has had a lifelong interest in nature and wildlife. Over the past two decades he has illustrated more than 20 wildlife books, including the bestselling Formac Pocketguide to Nova Scotia Birds series.
