- When a secret conclave of wizards brings a legendary hero back from the forgotten past to save their dying world, they get a hero unlike anything they expected, and trigger a crisis none of them may survive.
- From New York Times bestselling writer Kurt Busiek (Astro City, Marvels), rising-star artist Benjamin Dewey (I Was the Cat, Tragedy Series), and award-winning colorist Jordie Bellaire, The Autumnlands begins an epic fantasy tale of survival and adventure in a world of beast-wizards, sorcery, brutality, and hope.
- This specially-priced volume collects the first six issues of the hit series for adults that Wired calls “...deep, rich and quirky enough to stand leagues ahead of its competition.”

About the Author
Kurt Busiek broke in as a comics writer in 1982, with stories in Green Lantern #162 and Power Man & Iron Fist #90, both out the same day. Since then, he’s worked on just about everything from Action Comics to Zot!, including runs on Avengers, Iron Man, Superman, Conan, and others, along with co-creating Thunderbolts, The Power Company and more. Best known for his work on the multiple-award-winning Marvels and ASTRO CITY, he’s been turning more and more to creator-owned work of late, including such projects as ARROWSMITH, Superstar, Shockrockets and THE WIZARD'S TALE, and is currently working on more ASTRO CITY along with his new series THE AUTUMNLANDS, drawn by Benjamin Dewey.
Benjamin Dewey was born in the latter years of the 20th century in Cleveland, Ohio. The majority of his childhood was spent haunting the halls of the art museum, where his father worked, and in the company of many cats whenever possible. He learned to draw by studying classic illustrations, comic books, and attempting to catch up to the intimidatingly advanced development of more talented rivals. He now lives in Oregon with fewer cats, many guitars and a very supportive wife named Lindsey.
Jordie Bellaire is a two-time Eisner winning colorist for acclaimed projects such as Vision, They're Not Like Us, Pretty Deadly, Injection, Auttumnlands etc, as well as mainstream hits like Batman, Deadpool, Moon Knight, and Hawkeye. She is writer and co-creator with artist Vanesa R. Del Rey on the ongoing Image Comics series Redlands.
