Description

In a galaxy where ancient jump gates link countless worlds, species coexist in fragile harmony, and humanity has carved out its place among the stars. On the remote colony of Yagan IV, life is anything but free. For Melinda, a rebellious teenager trapped under the grip of a fundamentalist society, dreams of exploration are forbidden. Taught to read in secret and defiant in the face of her community's strict rules, Melinda's curiosity has always set her apart-and made her a target.

When an impulsive journey into the wilds uncovers a mysterious artifact, Melinda's world is upended. Banished from her home for her defiance, she finds refuge with Tristan, a former member of her oppressive faith, and Kerry Jonas, the daring captain of the cargo ship John Coltrane. Together, they introduce her to a galaxy full of wonder-and danger.

As the significance of Melinda's discovery unfolds, she learns that the artifact holds the power to shape not only her colony's future but the fate of entire worlds. Thrust into a legend she never sought, Melinda must navigate treacherous alliances and unimaginable threats, all while daring to dream of a life beyond the stars.

The Artifact is a tale of rebellion, discovery, and the enduring quest for freedom in a universe where the smallest spark can ignite a galaxy-wide revolution.
