About the Author

By day, Joy Avery works as a customer service assistant. By night, the North Carolina native travels to imaginary worlds--creating characters whose romantic journeys invariably end in happily ever after.

Since she was a young girl growing up in Garner, Joy knew she wanted to write. Stumbling onto romance novels, she discovered her passion for love stories; instantly, she knew these were the kinds of stories she wanted to pen. Real characters, real journeys, and real good love are what you'll find in a Joy Avery romance.

Joy is married with one child. When she's not writing, she enjoys reading, cake decorating, pretending to expertly play the piano, and driving her husband insane.

Joy is a member of Romance Writers of America and Heart of Carolina Romance Writers. Find her books and sign up for her Wings of Love newsletter at www.joyavery.com. Connect with her on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest (@authorjoyavery).

Reviews

"Rylee and Canten are charming, complex characters whose transition from friends to lovers feels wonderfully organic. The eccentric supporting cast brings on some laugh-out-loud moments that perfectly complement the heavy emotions and sizzling romance. This is a must-read." --Publishers Weekly (starred review)

"Avery delivers the heart that fans of small-town romances love while also turning up the heat. The Honey Hill residents of all ages are funny, eccentric, and lovable. The chemistry between the leads is fiery, and they add a sizzling sexual component to their 'fake' relationship early on. An emotionally rich story featuring bighearted leads." --Kirkus Reviews
