Description
Social justice work draws many young people to activism, only to quickly burn out. In this inspirational love letter to activists, seekers, new believers, and the spiritual but not religious, pastor-activist Tyler Sit shares how a spiritual community with Jesus at the center supports and sustains our social justice work together. Sit outlines nine practices of Christian community to transform the world and live a meaningful life: worship; centering marginalized voices; spiritual practices; life together groups; sabbath; leadership development; generosity; planting; and putting it all together. Contemporary cartoons, illustrations, and poetry throughout the book engage readers in the revolutionary way of life offered in Christian community and shares a new understanding of what it means to be Christian and practice the way of Jesus.
