Reviews

"Carlos Greaves is on McSweeney's Mount Rushmore of satirists. Spoilers is a brilliantly funny display of his comic talents." -- Chris Monks, Managing Editor of McSweeney's Internet Tendency

"Spoilers is an abundance of comedic riches from the mind of one of the sharpest satirists working today. From Superman's visa issues to snippets of the Little Mermaid's biography to Forrest Gump's historical drop-in's driving J. Edgar Hoover insane, Carlos Greaves has a knack for inserting hilarious comedic premises and unique characters into the stories we know best." -- Caitlin Kunkel, co-author of New Erotica for Feminists, co-founder of the Satire and Humor Festival

"Carlos Greaves is one of the snappiest humor writers working today, and this book shows off his chops in a major way. It made me want to abscond myself into the linen closet next to Carlos's Finnish sauna, if he, like, had one of those." -- Lillian Stone, author of Everybody's Favorite

"Carlos Greaves's writing makes you feel smart and funny just for reading it. Spoilers is a testament to Greaves's singular voice, which is both stupidly clever and infuriatingly prolific. I give this book two out of two unwashed Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants legs!" -- Mia Mercado, author of Weird but Normal and She's Nice Though

"People like to say that life these days feels like a dystopian movie, but only Carlos Greaves knows exactly which one. His book Spoilers proves that no matter how absurd life gets, Carlos Greaves will find a hilarious way to make sense of it because, to paraphrase Dr. Ian Malcolm, Carlos... uh... finds a way." -- Felipe Torres Medina, writer, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

"If you like incisive political comedy and your uncle's large VHS collection from 1996, this book is for you." -- Johnathan Appel, writer, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

"Humor-lovers and movie-watchers rejoice! Carlos Greaves' brought his razor-sharp wit to the silver screen. Spoilers is the perfect, laugh-out-loud film companion I've always wanted, but never knew I needed." -- Jennie Egerdie, author of Frog and Toad are Doing Their Best
