About the Author
Dafna Ben-Zvi is a poet and author of books for children. She has a PhD in Philosophy. Her books have received awards and are popular among readers and in the press.Ben-Zvi is a lecturer on Philosophy, Psychoanalysis, Children's Literature and Writing for Children at the Department of Culture, Creation and Production of Sapir College in the Negev, Israel.

Ofra Amit is an illustrator who lives and works in Tel Aviv. Her work has earned her several awards among which the 3X3 Pro Show Gold Medal, Society of Illustrators Gold and Silver Medal, Naples award and Israel Museum Award. Ofra is a lecturer of illustration in Wizo Academy of Design in Haifa, Israel.

Annette Appel grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and currently lives on a kibbutz in Northern Israel. Annette studied translation at Beit Berl College and truly enjoys the challenge of translating children's books. She looks forward to reading her translations to her new baby grandson, Ido.
Amit's soft-edged illustrations, done in a palette of muted blues, reds, and grays, depict unclothed animals who walk on all fours and play boisterously but inhabit human homes and write using pen and paper. There is nary a human in sight, which lends a whimsically surreal touch to this gentle friendship tale. In Appel's translation from Hebrew, Ben-Zvi's narrative unfolds with a delicate sweetness that never tips into the saccharine. An understated delight from Israel. -STARRED REVIEW, Kirkus
"Readers can pause after each page to admire the beautiful illustrations by Ofra Amit...Little So-So is "as sweet and delicate as a chocolate cream puff" (my favorite line in the book!) as well as socially anxious. Readers will be able to relate to Snoozie's and Sunny's enjoyment of fun games and learn that just a little bit of bravery can go a long way toward bringing new friends into your life." -- Mia Spangenberg, WorldKidLit
