About the Author
Editor Andrea Purcell started reading comics to get a boy to like her but discovered that she liked the comics more. Since then, she has gone from working behind the counter at a comic shop to planning national marketing campaigns for a major comics distributor. Andrea is currently the assistant editor at Iron Circus Comics, which is the best job she's ever had. Follow her on Twitter @IDieClassy to learn more about comics, her cat, and the joys of being married to a writer.
Kit Seaton is a comics artist, illustrator, and educator who sometimes dabbles in theatre. She has collaborated on two titles for Image Comics: Afar (March 2017), a young adult graphic novel with Leila Del Duca, and a new YA series Norroway (debut November 2018) with sister and writer, Cat Seaton. Kit can often be spotted haunting local cafes, museums, and book shops like a fantod.
Erica Henderson is a children's book author, a professionally trained dancer, & certified doula based in Texas. The proud god-mommy to two emotion-driven grade-schoolers, she's witnessed the delicate & powerful ways that feelings guide actions. Henderson believes that the key to emotional health is found in who we surround ourselves with & how we handle our own sensibilities. Appropriately, the journey to this emotional health starts in childhood. She hopes to equip the heartbeats of the future - children - with the practical tools to address heart wounds before, during, & after they arrive, so that children more confidently understand themselves & their authority over heavy-felt feelings. Her first children's book, Acire's Journey to Forgiveness Mountain, is an imaginative take on the emotional lessons she's personally learned. Told through the voyage of seven-year-old Acire and her butterfly friend, Omni, Henderson uses her own mountaintop discoveries to help the little human audience at large and the adults not unlike herself who may need a repeat reminder on emotional health and freedom.
