Description

Rising through the lush canopy of trees, the Treehouse Inn is a place where rainforest animals of the Amazon seek shelter and take it easy. Its very fine innkeeper, Santiago the sloth, always takes good care of each of his guests. From howler monkeys to butterfly chrysalises, Santiago seems to find the perfect spot for every animal among the branches and leaves. He fluffs their pillows at night, has teatime in the afternoon, and reads bedtime stories. But, with so many trees in the rainforest being cut down, more and more animals seek shelter at the Treehouse Inn. Santiago soon finds his inn is overcrowded, and all the animals begin to squabble. Can he find room for everyone? Or will he have to turn guests away?

About the Author

As a young girl, Carrie Hasler loved stapling sheets of blank paper together to write and illustrate her very own picture books. Her passion for writing and creativity continued into adulthood as an elementary school teacher. Whenever she couldn't find the right reading material for her students, she would simply write it herself. With more than 20 years of experience in education, Carrie helped launch Blue Sneaker Press in 2015 where she publishes and writes children's books and curricula to educate, entertain, and engage children on subjects that affect our world. When she's not writing, you can find Carrie working in her garden or in her pottery studio in San Diego, California, where she lives with her family.

Christina Wald has illustrated more than 50 children's books the last time she counted. She also draws comics and designs toys. Christina graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning with a degree in Industrial Design. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband and two cats and is an avid Urban Sketcher and travel addict.
