About the Author
JENNIFER HARRIS lives in a little storybook house in Waterloo, Ontario, with her husband and children. Despite the overloaded shelves, they all firmly believe there's always room for one more book. When not writing or reading--or thinking about chocolate--Jennifer is an associate professor of English at the University of Waterloo. She wishes on stars all the time, but so far hasn't had a chance to play with them.

Louise Pigott is an author and illustrator living and working in Cambridge, United Kingdom. She received a First Class Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from De Montfort University, Leicester, in 2009. Since graduating, Louise has made a strong start in the world of children's publishing, working with authors including Pippa Goodhart and Kay Umansky.
Reviews

"This lively portrayal of the girls and their mother sparkles with curiosity and joy; it's sure to inspire questions in young listeners as it embraces feminism, history, creativity, and science. An engaging inquiry into the lives of everyday girls who are limited by historical circumstance but yearn for more."--Kirkus Reviews
