Description
Lady Selina Bellamy is much more than a pretty face. And it's about time everyone realized it...
Being the sweet, biddable, pretty sister isn't as easy as one might think. Selina knows this all too well.
Love? That was never a possibility for her. Not when she was expected to marry a wealthy man and save her entire family from financial ruin.
But then Selina's shy, reclusive sister married a duke and relieved Selina of her only responsibility in life. Now, she's free to do whatever she wants.
Unfortunately, she has absolutely no idea what to do next.
Perhaps it's time she found something...meaningful to do with her time.
Something... important.
Whether or not that something includes her new job for a reclusive marquess, or a happily ever after with one of the suitors she left behind in London remains to be seen.
All Selina knows for sure, is that for the first time in her entire life, she's the mistress of her own destiny.
And she's going to enjoy every minute of it...
About the Author
Minerva Spencer was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She has lived in Canada, the U.S., Europe, Africa, and Mexico. After receiving her MA in Latin American History, from the University of Houston she taught American history for five years before going to law school. She was a prosecutor and labor lawyer before purchasing a bed and breakfast in Taos, New Mexico, where she lives with her husband and dozens of rescue animals.
S. M. LaViolette also writes historical romance under the name Minerva Spencer and historical mystery under the name S. M. Goodwin. Unlike many authors, S. M. hasn't wanted to be a writer since she was knee-high to a grasshopper. In fact, she's a very late bloomer and didn't write her first book until she was forty-five. That book, Dangerous, came out in 2018, the year S. M. turned 50. She is living proof that it is never too late to try something brand new. Since 2018 she has published fifteen books and two novellas, one which is included in an anthology with mega bestselling author Sylvia Day. S. M. has worked as a college history teacher, bed and breakfast owner, criminal prosecutor, and bartender (her favorite job next to writing). S. M. now writes full time and lives with her husband and multiple animals in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. When she's not writing she's cleaning out chicken coops, crafting, or reading.
