About the Author

Chade-Meng Tan is an award-winning engineer, international bestselling author, thought leader, and philanthropist. He is cochair of One Billion Acts of Peace (nominated seven times for the Nobel Peace Prize) and founding chair of the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute. As the former Jolly Good Fellow at Google, Meng led the creation of a groundbreaking mindfulness-based emotional intelligence course called Search Inside Yourself, which is also the title of his New York Times bestselling book. Meng delivered a TED talk on compassion at the United Nations and spoke at the White House about the development of kindness. His personal motto is, "Life is too important to be taken seriously."

Daniel Goleman is the internationally bestselling author and coauthor of several books, including Emotional Intelligence, Focus, and Altered Traits. He was a science reporter for The New York Times, was twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, and received the American Psychological Association's Lifetime Achievement Award for his writing. Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, is professor of medicine emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the founder and director of its renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Clinic. His clinic was featured in 1993 in the public television series Healing and the Mind with Bill Moyers. Jon Kabat-Zinn is the author of 15 books, in print in over 45 languages.
