About the Author
STEVE HINES lives in Nashville, Tennessee, and has been married to his high school sweetheart Leigh Ann for 35 years. They have invested in the lives of younger parents for decades, both through parenting study groups and in one-on-one relationships. As the father of two adult children and the grandfather of two little girls, Steve's passion for families continues to grow as the challenges of the present culture intensify. Steve is a former C.P.A., a life-long entrepreneur, a junior high and high school lacrosse coach, and an ardent musician.

Chris Hodges is the founding and senior pastor of Church of the Highlands. Under his leadership, Church of the Highlands has launched campuses all across the state of Alabama and has grown to more than 60,000 people attending weekly. He also cofounded the Association of Related Churches, launched a coaching network called GROW, and serves as chancellor of Highlands College, a two-year ministry training college. Chris and his wife, Tammy, have five children and eight grandchildren and live in Birmingham, Alabama.

"Whether you're expecting your first child or in the frontlines of the teen years, you will discover Salt, Light, & Kids to be an invaluable resource for your parenting journey."--CHRIS HODGES, NY Times bestselling author and Senior Pastor of Church of the Highlands, Birmingham, AL
"Steve distills the most important lessons he's learned over decades of parenting and explains what worked, what didn't, and why. And with proud endorsements from his grown-up son and daughter, his insights actually ring true. Present and future parents, give it a read/listen! You'll be glad you did: )" Joshua Porter, Voice Over Actor and Audible Narrator

"The beautiful part of this book, in my opinion, is that unlike many parenting books, Steve doesn't claim to have all the answers. But he knows, and wants the reader to know, that God does have the answers. If you take nothing else from this, the simple fact that prayer should accompany every parenting decision is the best advice he could give. The modern world presents many, many challenges that parents of previous generations couldn't have imagined, but using the Bible as a guidebook, was, is, and always will be the best approach. I highly recommend this book."--Audible Customer
