Reviews

"Taylor Moore gives his readers an insider's glimpse into a world of covert operations that few novelists can match. Ricochet has it all: great writing, perfect plotting, quick pacing, and a cast of high-octane characters that brings it all together. An extraordinary accomplishment from a relatively new author with a fresh voice and a new way of looking at the age-old struggle between good and evil." -- Nelson Demille, #1 New York Times Bestselling author of The Maze and The Cuban Affair

"Wild and gritty as a West Texas road, Ricochet snaps with action and unbridled authenticity. Taylor Moore is the real deal. I'll read anything he writes." -- Marc Cameron, New York Times bestselling author of Breakneck

"Mix Craig Johnson's Longmire and Lee Child's Reacher with a humongous dollop of pure, high-powered originality and you get Taylor Moore's Garrett Kohl. It's the mark of a great thriller when you can't put it down until the end. Ricochet not only takes care of that, but leaves you breathlessly hanging on for Kohl's next adventure." -- Jerome Priesler, New York Times bestselling author of Tom Clancy's Power Plays Series

"A thrilling tale of family and global brinkmanship set on the high plains of West Texas, Taylor Moore's Ricochet starts like wildfire and picks up speed with every page you turn." -- Nick Petrie, author of The Runaway

"Moore may not have invented the modern take on this tried and true genre, but he displays a mastery of it here on par with Lee Child's similarly protective figure, Jack Reacher. To that, he adds a dash of Brad Thor to the mix in fashioning a tale that will leave you longing for the next entry in the series." -- BookTrib

"Muscular but heartfelt, Ricochet is an adrenaline-fueled nail biter. Riveting, propulsive, and timely, Ricochet is the rare thriller that fires fast on all cylinders." -- J. Todd Scott, author of The Far Empty

"This high stakes thriller filled with well-drawn characters satisfies on all levels. A fine read that's true to the Lone Star State and all Texans." -- Reavis Z Wortham, award-winning author of the Texas Red River series

"An action-adventure thriller." -- Red Carpet Crash

"A slam-bang, can't-miss reading adventure that reminds everyone that everything--even the action--really is bigger in Texas. Moore's gonna be a star. . . if you aren't already reading him, start." -- The Real Book Spy

"Diverse characterization, exciting scenes, and great world-building...this was an intense novel with suspense and action. If you enjoy crime thrillers, then I recommend that you check out this one." -- Mystery and Suspense Magazine on Firestorm

"Having lived it, Taylor Moore hits every bit of the cost of counterterrorism in Down Range, but this story is much more. It's a riveting thriller with a family in crisis at the core. It's my kind of book." -- Brad Taylor, New York Times bestselling author of American Traitor on Down Range

"Taylor Moore's Down Range is an intense, authentic, and spellbinding powerhouse that pulls no punches. With high-octane action as well as genuine Texas lore and bravado, readers will be wanting more from hero Garrett Kohl and author Taylor Moore, and soon!" -- Mark Greaney, New York Times bestselling author of Relentless on Down Range

"Delivers both a compelling story and a vivid portrait of the landscape of the High Plains of Texas... Moore has written a tense and irresistible thriller that fans of C. J. Box and the military action novels of Brad Taylor will savor. The chaos mixes well with a stellar panorama." -- Library Journal (starred review) on Down Range

"A stunning debut, as wild and beautiful as the Texas High Plains in which it's set, Down Range turns the thriller genre on its head. Stretching from Kabul to Amarillo, Moore's yarn is chock-full of gripping action, white-knuckled suspense, and, most important, heart." -- Don Bentley, author of Target Acquired on Down Range

"Combining the suspense and intrigue of a Tom Clancy thriller with the action and grit of a hard-hitting western, Taylor Moore's Down Range is sure to entice fans of both genres, as he weaves a wild tale of betrayal, vengeance, and death on the Texas High Plains." -- Philipp Meyer, New York Times bestselling author of The Son on Down Range

"[A] masterwork of classic storytelling: a man defending his own in the best tradition of a John Wayne or Clint Eastwood film. Think No Country for Old Men with Box's Joe Pickett taking over for Ed Tom Bell. Down Range is downright awesome." -- Providence Journal on Down Range

"Debut author Moore's hold-your-breath thriller introduces DEA agent Garrett Kohl... Though our hero's outnumbered, he's able to lead the brutal criminals into the Texas high plains for a wild Western showdown. Moore's previous experience as a CIA intelligence officer and deep Texas roots bring authenticity to this action-packed tale." -- AARP Magazine on Down Range

"Down Range fuses the classic Western with the modern thriller. DEA operator Garrett Kohl has big skills and an even bigger heart that drives him to a pulse-pounding showdown as good as anything you'll read this year--and maybe ever." -- Mike Maden, author of Tom Clancy's Firing Point on Down Range
