About the Author

Gregory F. Augustine Pierce has been the publisher of ACTA (A Commitment to All) Publications for over thirty-five years and is a past president of the National Center for the Laity. He is the author of ten books, including The World As It Should Be, The Spirituality of Work, and Activism That Makes Sense. Pierce has been involved in community organizing for fifty years as an organizer, supervisor, mentor, trainer, and/or volunteer leader with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) in Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and New York.
