About the Author

Sarah Prager is the author of four books on LGBTQ+ history for youth: Queer, There, and Everywhere: 27 People Who Changed the World, Rainbow Revolutionaries: 50 LGBTQ+ People Who Made History, Kind Like Marsha: Learning from LGBTQ+ Leaders, and A Child's Introduction to Pride: The Inspirational History and Culture of the LGBTQIA+ Community. Sarah has presented on LGBTQ+ history to over 200 audiences across eight countries, including two U.S. embassies. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, The Atlantic, National Geographic, NBC News, and other national outlets. Sarah Papworth lives and works (from home) in a North Cotswold village in the UK. She studied at Winchester School of Art specialising in printed textile design, graduating in 2002 with first class honors. She freelances on editorial, book, and surface pattern projects. She loves to use mixed media, hand-drawn textures, and line. She also launches a couple of small original painting collections per year.
