I loved the simple illustrations in this book. The colors are bright and attractive, and the fuzzy style is really cute! The flaps on each page are cleverly designed, so that on one side the drawing looks like the fruit, and when you open it, half of the drawing reveals the animal that ate the fruit. It's brilliant! ---Books for MKs
A kitten with a sweet tooth is eager to taste the delicacies she's put aside--but others reached her donut, cheesecake, and chocolate before her! Pull back the flaps by each colorful concoction to reveal the culprits, from a snacking dog to a sheepish pink snake. All of the kitten's desserts are gone, but hope isn't lost: Cat's satiated friends have a well-timed surprise planned for her in this delightful board book, available in English and Spanish versions.---ForeWord Reviews
Lovely mellow colors and fun flaps to turn distinguish these cute board books. Someone is eating Cat's cakes. By turning the flap, the cake itself cleverly becomes the animal - sheep, dog, snake, or bear - who is eating the cake. At the end there is a surprise: a birthday cake for Cat.. In addition to the yumminess of the sweets, the creativity of the sweet becoming an animal will delight kids. Simple and adorable.---Youth Services Book Review
