Reviews
"Anne Ostby's compassionate and uplifting novel is an examination of the intricacies of friendship, the power of freedom, and the potential of inspiration. . . . The cast of rich and textured characters drives home the hopeful themes." --Publishers Weekly

"Pieces of Happiness offers up delectable food, a lush location, and unwavering friendships." --Kirkus Reviews

"No matter your age, a posse of girlfriends can make all the difference. We drive each other crazy. We keep each other sane. And we are in for the long haul. Pieces of Happiness is a celebration of that life-giving relationship."--Suzanne Braun Levine, author of Inventing the Rest of Our Lives and You Gotta Have Girlfriends

"A funny, life-affirming novel about friendship and second chances . . . The Fijian setting is stunning, though the island's attitude toward aging and a life well-lived is the real eye-opener."--Saga magazine (UK)

"Lovely reading, with a poignant, thoughtful and spiritual edge. If you need a novel to remind you of the simple pleasures in life--whether it's the feel of sand between your toes, or the delight that comes from growing your own food--Pieces of Happiness will do just that."--Natalie Xenos, Culturefly.co.uk

"Warm, vibrant . . . refreshing to read . . . I did feel transported to a place I admit I know practically nothing about, and it was wonderful. The writing is beautiful throughout."--Becky Gulc, ChickLitCentral.com
